Content Meets: Ally McAnally
Following our recent competition with Edwin we caught up with Ally McAnally who has been the brands UK Wholesale agent for over a year and a half. Ally took some time out of his busy schedule to share a few words for us.
CS: What does an average day consist of for you
AM: I get into the office and let the emails roll in whilst I have a nice strong coffee. Then it’s either an appointment with a customer or taking care of orders and general enquiries from our stockists. If we have time we grab a pint in the Exmouth Arms, but this is very rarely. We call this team building.
CS: What are you wearing today
AM: Today I've got on a white Edwin oxford shirt under my sweatshirt and wearing an Edwin baller bomber.
CS: What labels and styles have influenced you over the years
AM: J Linderberg and Raf Simons I’ve always found influential. When I joined Edwin and learnt about our extensive history, I found that really inspiring as well.
Style wise, I like the Scandinavian clean and minimal look. I really appreciate Our Legacy and Norse Projects who are two of my favourite brands currently.
CS: What plans do you have on the horizon
AM: We have the biggest change in my time with Edwin coming up in July. We are updating our logo on the back pockets and it looks great! I reckon the customers are going to love it. Everything else is top secret I’m afraid.
CS: Whats your favourite City you've visited and why
AM: Berlin – Mainly for the music and clubs. Apart from the music though, there’s something strangely inspiring about the people, the culture, the macabre history and architecture and the general atmosphere.
CS: Tell us something about yourself no one in menswear knows
AM: I have an unusual phobia of baked beans!
CS: Pick an outfit grid from The Content Store
1. Edwin Classic Regular Tapered Rainbow Japan Selvage - Raw State
2. Zespa Nappa - Off White / Navy / Gum
3. Oliver Spencer Eton Collar Shirt - Orion White
