Nike

Nike was founded in 1964 by Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight investing $500 each on a handshake to import Tiger shoes from Japan and sell them in the US. At that time German shoe brands were the dominate brands being worn by athletes. They founded Blue Ribbon Sports which would become the future Nike. After more than 40 years of creating shoes designed for the athletically minded and the stylistically conscious, their shoes and their famous swoosh have been seen, envied and copied around the world.
