The story of the Clarks Desert Boot

The Clarks Desert Boot. Created by Nathan Clark in 1950, it became an icon of rebellion for the Parisian students of ‘68, a fashion icon to the Mods, and a symbol of status to the Reggae generation of Jamaica. The shoe that to this day stands as an icon of style. Often imitated. Never bettered.

Above we see Clarks present three short films, each documenting a different era of the Clarks Dessert Boot. First up, “Steve Barrow & The Mods” returns to an era of slim fits and Vespas, a story told by Barrows himself, better known as “the Mod from Manor Park'. Followed by Magnum photographer and Parisian, Barbey, who took to the streets, camera in hand, to capture the May 1968 student riots and finishing with Reggae artist, Stitch, who talks us through the rise of the brand in Jamaica during the ’70s as its faithful followers flouted their government’s import ban bringing their favourite Clarks styles back from England by the suitcase.

The Gant Rugger Button Down India Madras Shirt is a premium take on an American classic. Combining traditional collegiate design with a great fit and detailing inspired by traditional tailoring it features a button down collar, split hem and box pleat yoke. The 25th anniversary of the iconic Nike Air Max 90 is soon approaching. To celebrate this Nike are releasing a version of the most iconic of them all, the Nike Air Max 90 “Infrared,” which could not be more fitting as the definitive Air Max 90. Spring T-Shirt Guide

With a wealth of history that spans back to 1938, Armor-Lux is best known for its nautical themed pieces in particular its Breton striped clothing. Founded in 1919 the Feinbloom brothers established the company that would become known as "Champion". Laboratory Perfumes

Inspired by the great British countryside, the London-based Laboratory Perfumes have been creating unique, pure and modern fragrances, evocative of nature since 2012. The original aim behind Laboratory Perfumes was to create a range of perfumes and candles which evoke a strong sense of place, with all three of the original fragrances sharing an association with the English coast and surrounding countryside. Here at Content we love the unique touch of the laboratory beaker which recreate the nostalgia of the science laboratory and result in a contrast between the fragrances inspired by nature and the laboratory. Content & Co. - Six Months Later

Content & Co. opened it's doors late 2014 on London's Exmouth Market in partnership with Tokyo's finest denim makers, Edwin. The store is the prime Edwin stockist in the United Kingdom along with the brands standalone store in Shoreditch, however, Content & Co. stocks more than just denim and tailors for our more streetwear loyal customers supplying brands such as Carhartt, Universal Works, Saucony Originals and Oliver Spencer that aren't available in our flagship Lambs Conduit Street store.
