The Venice based brand produces simple, unconstructed pieces of tailoring that take inspiration from the brands long history which dates back to 1961. Founders Massimo Pigozzo, Giovanni Zara and Francesca Zara took the name Barena from ‘baro’ which when translated is ‘salt-water lagoon’ - meaning the body of water that Venice stands on. Hentsch Man was created in 2008 by childhood friends, Alexia Hentsch and Max von Hurter, who set out to create the perfect white shirt. The brand has come a long way since then, now presenting vibrant collections season after season and casually tailored garments.

For Spring/Summer '15 Hentsch Man has rolled with a South American theme, a collection named “La Cantina” in vibrant colourful lookbook form. Influenced by ‘favela city life’, the label displays their love for manipulated florals and strong prints beside the ever-nautical stripe.
